Let's Crochet An Adorable Mini Easter Bunny Basket!

You need something adorable to hold those little goodies and decorated Easter eggs, yes? Well, here's a cute little pattern you can whip up in no time. Why not make several in different Easter colors! I think for Easter Dinner this year, I am going to make one of these for each of my guests in a different color, each holding their decorated egg... a little keepsake for them to take home.

The bunnies outline the bottom edge of the basket as well as the top edge. Just like the real thing, they seem to keep multiplying!

Here you'll find everything you need, complete directions, even where to get the hooks I use. This project is a great use for scrap thread, or you can buy the thread I used for the example pictured.

I've included a YouTube tutorial for treble crochet stitch for both right and left handed crocheters in case you need to add that stitch to your repertoire.

So grab your hook, hop into that thread stash, and let's get to crocheting!

What You Will Need

Small amounts of #10 Rustica Thread in White, Lilac, and Pink

Crochet hook in your preferred size. (I used size 8)

Other Threads You Might Enjoy! - I've used this thread and love the feel of it.

A Word About Thread Selection...

You can use any colors or size of thread (even yarn!) you wish to make this. Just make sure your threads or yarns are all a consistent size.

It's The Perfect "Little Something!"

The mailman... the wonderful daycare teacher... your hairdresser... think of the list of people who deserve "a little something" present for Easter!

The Most Important Thing

The photos here are shown unstarched because it's hot off my hook and I haven't had time to do it yet. Take the time and effort to starch the little basket when it's complete. It will stand up perfectly and be so much prettier! If you've never done the starching/blocking thing, check out the video tutorial below!

A Message From Your Designer...

Hi, I'm SheilaSchnauzies, also published as SheilaSparkles, and my life's passion is designing in Crochet! I also love to share gifts with friends, and this pattern is my gift to you! I give away about 95% of my pattern designs free. The other 5% are sold on my SheilaSparkles Crochet pattern store at Craftsy.com to benefit the vet expenses of my Miniature Schnauzer Rescue, Sheila's Schnauzies.

Just one little favor, please... I would appreciate it if you do not post this pattern anywhere on the Internet or in the 'real world.' Instead, you are most welcome to provide a link to this webpage.

I use a system I call the "Official Schnauzer Difficulty Rating" just for fun, to rate the difficulty of my patterns. If it's a 3/5 or more, I'll explain why I consider it more difficult. A few of my designs use techniques that are a bit unconventional! If it's one of those patterns, I'll warn you ahead of time. I do a lot of custom-fit patterns, for example. They are made to fit YOU, the dog, or the object in question – not a measurement from a chart. They're surprisingly easy to do and actually end up fitting. That's a good thing, yes?

So glad you found my patterns! I hope you really enjoy making whatever it is you're making! Crochet hugs, -Sheila
